Endotoxemia is involved in a variety of diseases in horses including colic, CHO laminitis, diarrhea, enteritis, septisemia, dystocia, metritis and in complications from abdominal surgery.

No vaccine can prevent an intestine from being blocked or twisted nor a mare’s placenta from being retained. Horses vaccinated with ENDOVAC-Equi®, however, develop anti-endotoxin antibodies which neutralize the deadly endotoxins released during such a crisis. This reduction of endotoxins keeps the patient alive and allows corrective treatment to be more successful, according to veterinarians who use ENDOVAC-Equi® routinely.

Another effective aid is ENDOSERUM®, the antiserum which contains high levels of anti-endotoxin antibodies that begin to neutralize endotoxins immediately upon IV administration. These two products are effective weapons in the fight against endotoxemia, the deadly enemy and #1 killer of horses and foals.
